I’m not a reader who “self-inserts” any of the characters (no shade if you do btw). But in romance books, the grumpy x sunshine dynamic is top tier to me. Because I’m a grumpy/black cat/ice queen girly IRL. Probably also why I can’t really tolerate doormat characters lol.
