There's so many times where she acknowledges that some views are harmful (ie. when she had her liberal friend tell her that her parents got deported in the last admin so she couldn't "cross the isle") and just kinda dismisses it anyway. like no girl politics are actually very personal and it's weird that you don't seem to think so! I'm trying my best to practice what she's preaching and hear her out til the end but..

I think I know why I'm having a hard time with Monica's arguments. It misses how misinformation and lack of literacy skills affect the general populace. It assumes people are well informed and have correct and accurate information, which is just straight up not true in my experience.

I'm having a really hard time getting behind the author's sentiment that we should be curious about the other side when the other side wants me and children and Palestinians dead. Just my opinion though.
