RAGS to RICHES: Conrad was part of the richest family in Holmstead before his uncle murdered his father and sent him and his mother to Low. This is apparent early in the story when Conrad mentions that his father is dead and that his uncle is now the Archduke of Holmstead. Currently, he is taking the test to become a hunter so that he can get enough money to take back his sister from the uncle.

SUMMARY: The main characters currently are Conrad, Roderick, Pound, and Samantha with Pound being a rival to Conrad. The story is about Conrad who once was a High but when his Uncle murdered his father for the throne and kidnapped his sister, he and his mother were banished to Low. Sky's End takes place in a floating archipelago, the Skylands. Conrad was picked to become a hunter and protect Skylands from gorgatuans.
