Amy is 70% done

This book is a bit of a mess. It tries to be clever, but often ends up crude. It feels like the author is making up the story as he goes. Little incongruities, like Alice is described as having blond hair and later snow lands in her dark hair. This is a book I’m looking forward to being done with.

Also, the book is written largely from Quentin’s POV, but you never really feel like he’s a sympathetic character or you’re inside his experience. He’s very unlikable, and it never feels he’s really and truly narrating.
