Jack is beginning to see that he has to be a part of the solution instead of just going along with everything. As a police officer on the island he feels impotent now and worries for his mom and his girlfriend who is a German nurse pretending not to be Hewish on their occupied island. I cannot wait to see how jack stands strong and tall.
