“The proper human response to the divine offer is accepting it by entering into a relationship characterized by trust, good faith, and loyalty, a ‘hearing which results in a response of faithfulness’. Hearing, akoē, thus comes close to obeying, hypakoē: actually changing your ways in response to the message of another.” (p.673-4)
