Doesn’t seem fair at all for Jaime to be mad at his mom for Maya telling her first?? It’s not like Rocky forced her to tell her. She doesn’t have a close family and feels closer to her boyfriend’s mom than her own. Jaime’s reaction feels entitled..?? Is that the word for it ?

Readying for my fiction book club. Why do authors do this? The main character said, & I’m paraphrasing here, “there are things I haven’t told you. Things that aren’t my story to tell like this one time with my daughter but that’s her story to tell.” What are you talking about? I’m reading the story. Just tell me. Why are you telling me you’re not going to tell me? It seems so pointless to me.
