Just finished the Book of Jarom. Another short one and the Nephites seem to be doing quite well. Even with cities and some level of machinery. I find myself just waiting for something to go wrong like many spiritual stories.

The Book of Ether finally gave the account of the Jaredite plates that were discovered by Limhi and kept secret. My oh my did it get really dark, lonely and sad at the end there. Similarly to the loneliness that Moroni has to be feeling as he writes this record being the last of his kind.

Finished the “Book of Mormon” within the Book of Mormon. This got really bleak really fast. You really feel for the loneliness and isolation of Moroni after what befell his people. But truth be told he and his father were alone before that due to just how evil the people around them had become.

Helaman was more history and if I remember right a lot of wars. 3 Nephi was quite interesting for its after the crucifixion and a great destruction throughout the land and Jesus shows himself to the remnant nation. It parrots a lot of his teachings from the Bible. A lot of time spent in the year 34 just to hop into short 4 Nephi and cover 300 years worth of quick corruption. Still curious about the 3 immortal men.

Just finished Alma. The longest book in this whole selection. Can’t possibly recount all it covered but there sure were a lot of wars where Moroni was as the real MVP freedom lover. But by the timeline we are ever closer to the first coming of Christ.

Finishing Mosiah and going into Alma. Intermingled with the occasional update on the historical progress of these civilizations is a LOT of repetition of the things we already know from the actual Bible related to all the events associated with the first coming of Christ and the end days or latter days as it’s called here. They are nothing if not consistent haha.

Finished Omni and the words of Mormon. So far there’s really a knack for restating the same prophesies over and over again. There was an interesting time jump to A. D. that seemed pretty dire before hopping back to B. C. So let’s just see where this goes.

Well quickly got through the Book of Enos. Very short and to the point of the writer’s desire for his enemy nations to prosper as his own does.

Just finished the Book of Jacob. A little shorter of a book but interesting. It did have a very long and drawn out parable that represents the beginning, middle and end of this creation. Also finally some updates on the condition of the remnant nation now called the Nephites. Interested to see where this goes.

Finished the Second Book of Nephi. It mainly parroted the Book of Isaiah and gave very minimal updates on the state of his remnant nation. Still continuing with an open mind.

Just finished the first book of Nephi. Seems to restate quite a lot from Revelations, and also quite a lot of comparisons between his journey and that of Moses. Though the premise is interesting enough. The idea of a family from Jerusalem splintering off and traveling to the Americas 600 years before the first coming of Christ. I have questions but will read further to see if they are answered.
