Fantastic book. I was floored in Ch. 33 (p.62) when Irenaeus writes, “So, by means of the obedience by which He obeyed unto death, hanging upon the tree, He undid the old disobedience occasions by the tree.” The fall of man came through the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Jesus hangs on a tree to redeem mankind from the Fall wrought by the first tree.
