I have finished Candle in the Wind. How depressing. Lancelot and Guinever were terrible, selfish people who treated Arthur with contempt, even though they claimed to love him. They did, in effect, ruin his life. 4 stars

I have finished “The Witch in the Wood”. There is still some humor, but it is definitely darker. Warning: There is a cat’s death in the first chapter that I found very upsetting. Its only purpose is to show us how vain and horrible Morgause is. I would recommend skipping that part once you come to it.
