After returning this by mistake at 40%, I finally got it back from the library yesterday. I feared that with months between leaving and picking back up I would have to start from the beginning, but not at all, I remember everything. I backed up a couple of pages, but that is all. Luckily I have had no idea what was going on throughout, so there is no confusion. And I mean that in a good way. I like this confusion.

So, a half-asleep Bonnie mistakenly deleted this from Libby, so it will be a bit until I finish, but it is really good.

This is so bracing and true and sad and hilarious. From paralyzing reliving of the murder of Philando Castille to an ongoing homage to Nic Cave this is full of surprises. I really love this author.

So far, a spectacularly worthy follow up to Hell of a Book.

Erin I’m so glad you are enjoying it. Now let me look at your teeth.

Bonnie G. Lol! How weird is that?! I keep thinking of the judge on Allie McBeal who made lawyers and parties show him their teeth all the time. I am guessing that is not where Mott got the idea. For the record, the judge never threatened to kill anyone.

Erin More’s the pity.

Bonnie G. We established your interest in murder earlier today so this tracks!.
