The Adventure of the Second Stain: This was a higher stakes story, and I did enjoy it. I liked the idea of two crimes being related, and I thought the pay-off was good.

The Adventure of the Abbey Grange: I'm starting to really like Hopkins. This was a good one - the solution was a little cliche but I think all of these stories are in their own way

The Adventure of the Missing Three-Quarter: I like the stories where they get out of London, it feels like the Christmas episode of a show or something. This was quite a nice story, with a satisfying ending, but the case itself wasn't particularly interesting

The Adventure of the Golden Pince-Nez: A fairly standard one, but I felt it went off the rails a little bit right at the end. I did the maths and apparently the Professor was smoking 71.4 cigs a day so that's something to note

The Adventure of Charles Augustus Milverton: This was very different from every one of the other stories, and I loved it. From my memory, this is the first time we've seen Holmes acting more towards moral than legal justice. I loved it - maybe my absolute favourite so far

The Adventure of the Solitary Bicyclist: Having read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights, I had suspected where this was leading. I did enjoy it though, and had a fun time. Things escalated very quickly
