An absolutely heart-breaking story of oppression, friendship, and betrayal. The concepts of colonisation through language and the exploitation of 'others' while simultaneously viewing them as lesser beings were so well portrayed and are still, to this day, incredibly relevant to our lives. Overall, a very well written, thought-provoking novel.
