Wow this book was a wild ride. I hated the beginning of this book and found Rin insufferable but by the middle I was entertained enough to keep reading all the way until the end. Excited for the next but also Rin is so exhausting

I have the most sympathy and investment in Rin whenever she’s the underdog

It’s so nice to read a fantasy book that’s not a romance. So many fantasy books ruined because the main characters are too pre occupied by f*cking

I like how everyond keeps telling Rin that she’s dumb (as they should) but she keeps ignoring it lmao
