Finding this book so beautiful but so sad. The creatures pain of being lonely and wishing for acceptance and kindness- makes me wonder what this reflects - it makes me think of children in the care system, children of absent parents, etc. I think a key message of the book is understanding the weight and responsibility of bringing life into the world
