Maybe I'm being nitpicky. But some the focus on the Hispanic characters has been... lackluster. I appreciate the attempt. But the Ms. Jimenez chapter left such a bland taste in my mouth. Everyone else got these very rich inner lives and her chapter is just so... nothing? And now I'm at the Luz storyline and I can tell Mathieu is trying. But it reads very removed. Almost clinical compared to the rest...
