Gonna finish this book with lots to look into for visual art, even if jesus christ some of the art these women made... i absolutely hated

Turns out Virginia Woolf had a sister who was a painter, Vanessa Bell

Rosa Bonheur, an inspiration for becoming a great artist just painting animals, but also for doing shit like wearing men's clothes for her work so she got a permit to do so, and also living with her "friend" Nathalie for 40 years, shortly after her death meeting another younger woman who stayed with her till she died and was buried next to Nathalie, and then that girl also was later buried with them. Completely unsurprised how many times paintings by women were misattributed to men - and then discredited when it was discovered it was done by a woman "well that makes sense because it had all these bad things in it"
