I like the premiss that as Snake has save Julias life, her family must repay the deed. And her family is a prominent family in the city or "center" with access to off-worlders.
And she (Julia) says they might be able to get her a new dreamsnake. which apparently doesnt live on earth.
I like this story line and might have to use it in a RP scenario.

Snakes claim is on Jessies family not Julia (just remembered the name wrong). Honor and one's word is apparently highly regarded in this society. or so i presume, since Jessie says to Snake she must travel to the city to be repaid the claim on Jessie from her family. It's a thin plot line, since Jessie dies from exposure to radiation after she fell of her horse among the craters. craters from the nuclear war.
