I hate myself right now. I started book 1, was shocked by how bad it was, returned it to the library and then obsessed about the storyline. Checked it out again, read it and confirmed how bad it was but still need to read the whole series. What is wrong with my brain? Why does this author attract my attention and my dislike? Anyway, here we go again.

I had forgotten how long it takes this author to tell the story. And the FMC in this book, Jessie, is a weird mix of mature and immature. For someone in her 30's with 2 long term relationships behind her, she's a bit dense. And the "bad guys" are always with hearts of gold...ridiculous.

The author still doesn't write her characters speaking in full sentences, which just feels weird. And the constant references to The Rock Chicks books and RCHB - not realistic in any way. And excuse me but waitresses and bartenders earning above minimum wage and 401K contributions...delusional.
