despite the fact that I've never picked up a hockey stick and my life and know none of the lingo, this book has already given me much food for thought. plus the characters feel so real and are hugely developed already.

side note, Backman has used some fantastic similes: "as if someone's tried to put a tracksuit on a bag of jellyfish" - who thinks of that??? clearly Backman does.
