I do not have the patience for this book. The plot is just dragging on. I'm almost halfway through and I still don't know what happened in the hollow though I can guess that the son of the people he's living with disappeared and died there; and he's probably the son of the wife's long ago friend. Just get on with the story. It's only suspense, because autho's withholding information from the reader!
