Reacher, you're a clever man but you're very dumb. This man begs you for help, you tell him you can't help him because he can't tell anyone anything or he'll die. Then 5 minutes later you decide you do want to know, actually, and you pout when he won't tell you because he doesn't want to get killed. Like sir, you had your chance. You made this harder on yourself and I have no sympathy.

I don't know if I need to blame all the casual fatphobia in these books on Lee Child or Jack Reacher, but I could really do without it either way. Also, Reacher, I know you're not racist, or at least not from what I've read so far. So what on Earth is with your comment that "he looked and sounded like a Boston banker, except he was black?" ??? Come on, man.
