im rereading and im never finding love

“what will happen to us?” i asked.
“there will always be us,” he answered.
if this isn’t the definition of soulmates i don’t know what is.

before reading “just kids”, i had very little knowledge about patti smith besides her song “because the night” and wanting to read this book for a while.. every page knows how to lure me in despite not being halfway through. this book is an already beautiful love story about an enduring relationship (with robert) and the art of pursuing one’s dreams ambitiously.
