“its all my fault” self pity is one of the most unattractive characteristics a person can embody. especially when its in relation to a situation that CLEARLY is not their fault, therefore making the issue about them. at its core its selfish, and superficially its pathetic. lose lose all around. ESPECIALLY WHEN UR A 30 YEAR OLD MAN!!

what an unhinged way to break up with someone u were with for eight years 😭 ik there is going to be some twists and reveals bc the foreshadowing is quite literally choking me its so apparent, but i cant see anything happening to make this higher than a three. possibly something abhorrent could occur and i could give it a two ☺️

im almost 300 pages into this book and i feel like nothing has happened, but im also not like hating it bored… is this how romance readers always feel?? the repetitiveness in the language being used is slightly exhausting (pinched nipples and all) and i feel like i wish it was deeper we got more of the sids character as characters and not just npcs in activity scenes. modern day, i know nothin about theses peeps

gun to head had to read a too long scene of millenials on eddies. also the fact that EVERY scene is too long is killing me, especially in the modern day time line. now i know i HATE the super short time frame romance, no fun. if a scene must be long let it be internal monologue filled not all exposition, i do not want to read 30 pages of dialogue, dear lord save me. GIVE ME SALLY ROONEY

also book has made me laugh out loud twice, cant remember first one but second one was “are you on steroids” and it was perfectly timed. wishing is was a little more com in that rom, it more smiles than real laughs atm. at the beginning i hated the past scenes but now that we are deep in the romance it is real sweet. but i wish there had been more build up ngl

chapter 11 was the best thing i’ve experienced in this novel thus far. GIVE ME ANGsST OR GIVE ME NOTHING!!! i’ve realized locked in a room trope is indeed a yes for me 🙂‍↕️

this is a race against the clock ladies and gentlemen. i have a book club meeting tomorrow afternoon and prior to a few hours ago, was only 20 pages in. now we must finish!!!!!!! hoping to get to 200 by 9pm and from there we will see! definitely not going to bed until im at 300 at least as this is a 400 paged romance novel, for whatever reason 🫠. also gonna use this as a note taker on mood/feelings as i read!
