Boorstein's criticism of the pseudo-fication of American life is interesting in some applications and subjective in most others. In terms of the press, media, celebrities the critique is most apt. Nearly every other chapter drags on about how rising ease and access of common experiences cheapens them and stupidifies the participant. Good grief.
