One of the reasons Jacks had allowed himself to be turned into a Fate was so that Castor wouldn't be alone.
This one line always stands out to me because not only is it incredibly sweet and shows just how caring Jacks actually is when he loves someone and what he was like as a human (softer), but it also raises some questions about how a Fate is created. ALLOWED HIMSELF is an interesting choice of words.

REREAD I'm kind of curious to see if there's anything interesting I missed on my past few reads of this one because I'm still finding hidden things in the other two :D

...maybe it's because she fell in love with Jacks of the Hollow and not the Prince of Hearts?

He’d painted a picture that made Evangeline think of an excitable puppy that had stolen a crown simply because it was shiny and pretty and fun to play with.
no because that’s EXACTLY why Luc did it and I would argue my point

He eats the apples to stop his urge to kiss, but since Eva is his true love he doesn’t need them anymore

That could be it because he says he doesn't need them anymore but then he also never ate anything but apples (except for when they were in the Hollow) which is a bit weird AND there's a Fated Object called "The Unbitten Fruit" so idk maybe there's something more to it 🤷♀️
