I don’t normally do status updates, but this book is difficult. It’s brilliant and perfectly written, but it makes me visibly wince/cringe every other page. Major trigger warning if you are planning on reading this book. It’s a work of art, but it is VERY heavy. The way the author captures the victim narrative is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m glad I’m reading it, but I need something light after this.
