Climate change as a threat multiplier for human conflict is a fascinating area of research. I wonder how international conflict analysis would benefit more from this perspective.

Gretta Pecl sounds incredible. Also the fact that trees, which to so many people seem immovable, are in fact moving their ranges in response to climate change reiterates that borders restricting human movement are dumb as shit.

This chapter is covering the shifting of species, something Barbados is seeing in real time with the southern movement of flying fish populations closer to Trinidad. I wonder if it’s worth the effort trying to rebuild those populations here? Or is it all futile?
