Chapter 8: I have never been a big fan of phrases that feel a bit immature, in this case “panty-meltingly masculine” or “McHottie alert” etc. because they pull me out of the story especially when the main characters are 25+ years old. Maybe my friends and I are different but we never talk like this and it makes me feel like it’s unreal or forced. I feel like this is different in Julie’s other books.

Chapter 5: I have a feeling this will be one of Julie’s most graphic books. Only one scene so far but it was quite detailed. Definitely a justified action from the story’s perspective might I add, but still a bit graphic. Personally, I don’t mind, but some maybe sensitive to it.
