Okay im really enjoying this, the healing the family

End of the year readings challege lets go! Time to get some numbers on the board finishing books i started

The author doesn't hide behind overly flowery language; instead, they embrace a simple, almost whimsical style that is still definitively urban. It's also wonderfully escapist. The story is set in a fictionalized cities i.e Los Angeles is Los Oceania which adds to the fantasy-like feeling, even though it's a contemporary romance.

I picked this up purely based on the gorgeous cover, thinking it would be a perfect summer read, and so far, I'm completely hooked! It’s a rapper romance with similar friend dynamics that I enjoyed in "Losing Control”. It's unapologetically urban, a Black love story with a poetic touch. I truly believe urban fiction *can* be poetic, and this book is proof.
