im sitting in a metallic bird flying at speeds that could rip my arms away, flying with weight of a small building, in pitch-black night, breathing uncompressed air, finishing a story that began with an african named kunta kinte, kidnappd while chopping a tree for his drum, torn from his homeland into slavery in america, whose life and legacy will stay this indian boy, who just became an architect yest, for his life.

wth is the human race even ??

we have so much power as a species .. we have done n achieved so much over the course of existence that its so hard to comprehend

i love history with even greater fervour now

its crazy how this book has suddenly become my fav of all time, cos it was so alien to me in its culture, language, people, politics, traditions, etc

im gonna be in a voluntary reading slump for a while ...

there is a blurb / endorsement on my copy of this book that i only properly understood by the end

n that was: "THIS BOOK IS AN ACT OF LOVE, AND IT IS THIS WHICH MAKES IT HAUNTING"

im so glad i pushed thrpugh this book even tho it got hard to read n understand many tines initially. im glad that i push thru hard books at all

i just finished the book day b4 yest .. it may just be my fav of all time

i finished this book just yest night .. n im so glad i make thw effort to push through hard books regardless of my tastes

till about recently in this book .. I was sure that tho this was stellar in what it tried to do and did achieve, it wont be a 5 star for me

and now i'm doubting it lol .. v pivotal book in my understanding of a lot of things
