I picked up this book on a recent visit to the highlands because I lost my previous copy. I’m kind of pissed I spent money on it twice. I enjoyed the exploration of the setting and the general plot of the novel. It was cool to read about places I’ve explored myself and I liked the queer storyline. The writing itself left a lot to be desired. The dialogue especially felt unnatural and took me out of the book.
