Truly fantastic

Hobbes is the ultimate representation of the bourgeois desire for unlimited power. The individual, abstracted from the community and desiring nothing other than security and the endless pursuit of wealth, must also have a state which seeks the endless pursuit of power. In this bourgeois ideal, the responsibility of caring for the other is left to the state, as all are equal.
