Why does it warm my heart so much to know that the Hob of District 12 was in operation so many years before Katniss ever existed?

Ok, just got to Part 3 and hoooooooold up. So ole Coronavirus Snow (I made myself snort) not only has been poor and knew what it was like to live in poverty, but he LIVED in District 12 as a peacekeeper?! WTF happens to him in 64 years to make him so fucking nasty!?

Damn I'm already hooked. It's bittersweet and tragic knowing that this remarkable girl from District 12 is going to die. Unless there is some massive secret twist. Because this is the 10th Hunger Games... the games Mags won. Mags... the sweet old lady from District 4 who sacrificed herself for Peeta.

*sigh* I wasn't expecting to be catapulted back into Hunger Games feels. But here I am.
