This one is slow-going 😩 They’ve had their first spicy moment so hopefully the annoying inner monologues are done. I LOVE yearning as much as the next bookish girl, but Hart seems to be missing the mark in this book.

Loving the plot, but if I have to sit through one more overcooked inner monologue about how desperately these two want to jump each other, I might actually combust. I adore romance in fantasy, but this feels forced and cringe.
