I though the book was becoming better like a normal book…. No. It went back to being dirty.
Idk where I got the idea of it being halal romance cuz it’s totally not.

Why does my friends rate this a 5 star book like literally not one 4 star or smth like this. Y’all the start must be the only freaky part?

I thought this was The Kite Runner at first lol. I read that the author is friends with the Bush family and that the publishing of The Kite Runner was around the same time America invaded Iraq...

Then the book switches to another girl’s story, and she (for now) falls into a haram relationship with her childhood best friend. I’m just realizing this might be a compilation of stories in one book and not an actual single story.

in my perspective i knew it wasn’t a halal romance by any means, but it was an interesting perspective on women’s experiences in marriage in other countries. It’s so uncomfortable to read about SubhanAllah, but these stories are important in my opinion- because they do happen. I think it illustrates the importance of finding a man who fears Allah wholeheartedly
