I really like Smirnoff's style. The minimalistic way of telling this story works wonderfully.
However, cults..? Okay. And some "alabama" stuff as well?
I've got nothing against this book, just questioning some stuff. My Brother felt grounded but this, yeah.

In an interview I read somewhere, horror author Poppy Z Brite described his books as a part of his characters lives that the book follows, and not a story. This is very similar to that. Also, almost like reading a fever dream.
