The biggest critique hurled towards MMT in my mind is that it doesnt seem to adequately account for inflation - it boasts endless possibilities by denouncing 'self-imposed' government constraints, many of which seem to indirectly target inflation prevention in some way or another.
Yet MMT's response: MMT's reworked system requires new and altered checks to curb its greatest threat -inflation.

What MMT seems to lose in disproving the legitimacy of self imposed budget constraints and the 'gov to household budget' equivalency is rhetorical prowess and political accountability. An acceptance of kelton's premises could put politicians on both sides of the aisle out of a job. I question how many know what Kelton asserts to be true, and how facetious they really are.
