i remembered nothing about this from sophomore year english except for the most violent details :/ i think i liked it more this time, though there are still mixed feelings

finished tortilla flat - it was good! it has steinbeck’s characteristic descriptive writing and fully realized characters. the story lost me in some parts but overall i liked it and especially its message
