Done! This was very good actually. Somewhere between three and four stars. Jo and Laurie were my favorite characters.

I pretty much had a big smile on my face the entire time I was reading the On the Shelf chapter. Discipline the brat! Show him who’s boss! Laurie’s story isn’t going the way I expected it to. You know, I’m surprised this story has relevance even today. I imagine toxic feminists have a serious problem with it. But it’s charming and easy to read though. And not boring, although I thought it’ll be.

“So grouped the curtain falls upon Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. Whether it ever rises again, depends upon the reception given to the first act of the domestic drama, called Little Women.” The story must’ve sold well since the story continued with a second act. I think Laurie’s prediction about Jo will turn out to be true.
