Volume 2: 4.5⭐️
The second third was far more focused than the first with the limited setting variety and a decisive turning point halfway through that recontextualises much of what came before while acting as a narrative catalyst in developing all the characters involved in Mr Darcy’s letter and their relationship. Themes of marriage and class are higher focused here with effective exploration. Great writing!!

Volume 2 has started with a slower stretch of chapters but wow as soon as Mr Darcy turns up at Collins’ home things have really picked up. Mr Darcy has just suffered a proposal rejection from Elizabeth and in reply has given her a letter detailing everything from his side and how Wickham has wronged him. I’m addicted
