Struggling mightily with this book for some reason — I just can't seem to get into it. So highly recommended though! I might have to put it down for now and rely on a plot synopsis if I pick it up again.

It's not your average book of short stories. I think part of what makes it remarkable is the way some of the characters appear and reappear in other stories, often later in life.
