Gloria's mom, Gracie, feels lots of discomfort around their family's robot Robbie being around her daughter 24/7, and Gloria becoming unsociable with other children. I love the difference between the mother and the father in wanting to keep or get rid of the robot. But the mom's reasoning was too influenced by other families, and the dad was defensive and passive at the same time. It was a pretty relatable dynamic.

The next chapter focuses on a new robot that denies that humans could make a higher being than themselves. For this, the robot begins a cult-like view of the main energy generator; it is weird to see the robot have so much personality and questions, becuase all the preivous robots were very bland and just listened to everything Powell and his partner said.

I love the interactions between the two protagonists, where one of them always complains and thinks the worst, while the other stays quiet and tries to figure out a solution. I also like that the main robot (Speedy) , still having personality, like when they discribe him as drunk, becuase he starts saying random things, and limping around, which i thought was fun to see

The book starts with lots of narration and explanation to describe a non-verbal character. I'm loving how they make a robot feel so alive, and feel like it has feelings; however, the robot is shown to be "stubborn" and I'm wondering how its able to do that while still following the law that robots must follow its owners' commands. There was also many new words, that I enjoyed learning. Had very interesting vocabulary
