My God, SJM is really capable of some cool, intricate, twisted plot and characters when she wants to. So whyyy does she spend so many pages on slow, boring plot? Make it juicy please. Short and to the point. Rip my heart out. Stop disappointing me.

Ok her writing style has notably improved. Less repetitive so far than in her previous books.
Also, Jesus christ Aelin and Rowan are horny. I'm scared that their relationship, which has taken so freaking long to develop and has had very little emotional depth so far, will turn out to be purely horny physical lust. Please tell me I'm wrong. There's a shared maturity and values that could be built upon. Please be good
