I love how Rufus and Mateo have truly distinct personalities and ways of speaking. When each character is narrating, it actually feels like different people. That being said, I’m not a big fan of how this story is being told. The constant perspective switching and randomly jumping into side character perspectives is a little jarring. I’m fascinated by Rufus and Mateo though, so I’ll keep reading.
