More deaths have happened in this book, and it’s become abundantly clear this is an old conservative Christian book. Now that doesn’t inherently mean it’s bad, it’s just something for readers to be aware of!
I don’t consider myself Christian, nor am I conservative.
Also! Because of the age of the book, there are some word choices that have aged poorly, so just be aware of that too.

Despite the negatives I’ve shared so far, there are some nice stories in here all the same! If nothing else, I like the most recent story: The Gentlest Need by Fred T. Wilhelms
I agree, kids need time to purr, and like he said, it’s not a need restricted to any age group. Give those you love a chance to purr… that was a sweet message

Mio Dio. Im sure there’s no embellishments that could slip through the cracks when one of the compilers contributes his own story about healing a 17 year old girl from terminal cancer with the power of mass prayer! …note: that was sarcasm.
I love and support belief in faith and that God can work in mysterious ways, but that one did feel very over the top. Like a lot of these stories do, sadly

I thought this would be a nice book to keep my mood up while I was at work during the Christmas season! There sure is a lot of stories ending with loved ones falling ill and dying though.
