I was not ready to be this emotionally upended. The disillusionment and inner turmoil of the FMC, reminds me how it felt and still feels when learning the history of some of the horrible things that have occurred in society (and are still occurring) in the name of greed and religion. It’s getting to me, just as much as some of the historical fiction I’ve read, but this is a fantasy. I’m just impressed.
