one MAJOR pet peeve i have about dialogue in books is when they write "He is happy" instead of "he's happy" like i dont understand why they cant write the contraction cuz it sounds like a more realistic dialogue and thats how people talk irl. it just sounds robotic and makes this annoying book more annoying

omg this entire phone call is pissing me off why is she just saying nothing while her mom is asking a question JUST FUCKING ANSWER!! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO SAY "no that isnt aaron" UGHHHHH sitting there staring at this mf while ur mumbling and stammering on the phone like an IDIOT

omg the sole purpose of adding gerald just so hes a stereotypical man who thinks women should take care of womanly things is so tired and annoying like hes obviously being played up by the author just so ml can come in and save her
