Very interesting first scene. I thought it was the MMC at first.
[In the cell] From all foods to describe something so "ew", the author chose rice 😩 idk how I feel about this amount of darkness in this book, I just hope they don't get into too much detail about their jobs.

4 years? They have been playing this push and pull for 4 years?! And yet I still don't see the emotional connection being stronger. They still seem like strangers after all this time.
One thing, though, Rowan is one of the nastiest MMCs I have read about. 😁I will finish it just to see how far the creativity goes in that department. Research.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, he invites her for a fancy award ceremony, she gets dolled up and ready to confess, and HE is clueless until the end, and instead of asking for his "reward" he wants them to "work" that night??!! 😫

Ok, I didn't know this was a slow burn, because what do you mean they met once and then again after 1 year??
Plus, that competition trip was so interesting, especially the room twist! I didn't expect that.
Now I'm at the point where 6 more months have passed, and they are just texting. 🙄 After all they found out about each other and did? I'm not sure how this works, but I will allow it
