Guys I genuinely want to talk to you if you have a polar opposite worldview then my own. I want to have a productive conversation with you. If nothing else, I hope we can understand each other better. But c'mon when I'm being sworn at, called names, and blocked, what does it accomplish? More division. It literally doesn't bother me if you do those things to me, but I just wish we could talk and learn from each other.

Amen! They do it bc they’re frustrated they don’t have a good argument. I’ve gotten in debates with people who just railroad what I’m trying to say so I end up having to block them bc it stresses me out so badly. Like plz I want a civil debate 🙏🏼
Yes!! Cussing doesn't bother me, its just that when people are constantly cussing and insulting me it's kinda hard to focus on the actual debate and have a logical calm discussion.
Literally, when people cuss, scream, and name-call during debates, that tells me they’re immature, can’t handle controversy or disagreement, and really aren’t trying to debate but start a fight. It doesn’t look good and you just look childish in my eyes, and I lose respect for you. It makes me not want to debate you bc I know it’s not a safe environment for those with even the slightest differing views
yes girl!! me too idk why telling someone there wrong calls for cussing you out it really doesn't help them at all don't get discouraged tho:))
Yess! When people cuss and call people names during debates, it just means that they can’t come up with better things to say. I lose all interest and respect for them and the debate when they do that
